Greg likes to say, Valentine’s season if a reminder to, “Steal my heart, not my data”? It’s a reminder that cybercriminals are always looking for ways to exploit your personal and business information. 😱
Here are some simple steps you can take to keep your data safe and secure:
– Backup your data regularly. Whether it’s photos, videos, documents, or emails, make sure you have a copy of your important files in a safe place. You can use an external hard drive, a cloud service, or preferably both. This way, you won’t lose your precious memories or work if something happens to your device. 💾
– Use an ad-blocker. Ads are not only annoying, they can also be dangerous and some of the trickiest to detect for any anti-malware solution. 🚫
– Be wary of phishing and other malicious links. If you click on the link or open the attachment, you may end up giving away your passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive data. 😨
